History:
Newamericanspring.org was registered as a domain in November of 2011, right after I (Roger Farinha) conducted my kick-off event which I called a Community Soapbox at the LeClair Park band shell in Davenport, Iowa; adjacent to the great Mississippi River on October 22nd, 2011. See the Video of the event LINKED HERE (click).
This event itself was the culmination of a 6 year period where I travelled across the United States as a big-rig trucker (2005-2011), conversing with my fellow Americans on the subjects of life, meaning, and on making a better world. I saw myself as emulating the great philosopher Socrates (whom I discovered in my college studies in Philosophy at Brooklyn College in New York). He engaged his fellow Athenians (of ancient Greece) in critical dialogue, becoming famous for setting a powerful moral example in sacrificing his life for his principles and inspiring one of Western history’s greatest minds, his student Plato. So I fittingly called the book of origins of New American Spring which resulted from these years of soul and fellow American soul searching, “The Socratic Trucker.” This book was published in 2012 and is available on Amazon.com, LINKED HERE (click).
The Political Soapbox event was inspired in the context of what I considered the contemporary flowering of American populist aspirations via the Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street uprisings. Having spent the last 6 years conversing with my fellow Americans, I deeply understood the human grounds for such aspirations. I understood the ripeness of the human heart for justice, liberty, and human flourishing which came out in my interactions with my fellow Americans. Therefore I constructed a theme for my event which dealt with bridging the ideological divide between Americans, between right and left, and inspiring Americans to begin talking to one another, good-naturedly and constructively. See the news footage of my positive call to the community LINKED HERE (click).
I also accompanied my television messages with newspaper contributions. See the history of my articles LINKED below:
First Editorial: written before the soap box event, expressing my hopes and vision for the event.
Second Editorial: Written after the soap box event, expressing my evolution of thought about the Occupy movement.
Third Editorial: Written as the New American Spring concept began taking shape in the context of a series of focus-group meetings, expressing our developing perspective on the present status of America's grass roots awakening.
Fourth Editorial: Written after the New American Spring concept took full form...
Fifth Editorial: Written to rouse a slumbering community to the New American Spring calling for revival.
Sixth Editorial: Written in response to a newspaper article entitled "Iowa: Occupied no more," by the Quad Cities Times.
As stated in my last editorial, I moved on from the Quad Cities event to a phase of my life where I had to slowly develop the New American Spring concept, writing my book and developing its website and social media presence in the subsequent years.
Today, I am actively seeking the opportunity to start up my non-profit, organizational, social curriculum vision which is New American Spring, and I share with you this last video, made in the context of the 2016 presidential campaign:

Ultimately, the New American Spring Social Curriculum derives its inspiration from the noblest virtues of open-mindedness and intellectual tolerance, springing directly from my experience as a student of higher education and from my practical adventures in America.
Revolution of Vision, Evolution of World…
