SPIRIT OF NEW AMERICAN SPRING:
From its beginnings in November of 2011, New American Spring has always espoused diversity, up to and including IDEOLOGICAL DIVERSITY (diversity of ideas, beliefs, perspectives).
Humanity is diversity itself, yet embracing one another’s differences is the hardest thing for most individuals to do. We are what a self-hating species looks like.
Our tribal impulse to see one another as adversaries, to be on guard against and to resist each other, springs from our more primitive past where we had to compete to survive. Nature balances the competitive struggle of multiple species to create a beautiful and colorful circle of life, but survivalist competition within our own species can lead to dysfunction and even self-destruction.
Nature's beauty is built on death, and our inheritance of its competitive mandate results in endless war and murder. Hence are we called, in our next stage of evolution, to take on the task of harmonizing our various differences, embracing our great diversity and making a new beauty, one which can outshine nature’s own harmony by being built on rationality, tolerance, and solidarity rather than competition.
If YOU are capable of such a grand vision, of such hope. If YOU are not afraid to take a gamble on such an impossible dream, then I ask that you get to know the NEW AMERICAN SPRING program, and let’s get started.
